Configurable VR Tour System

Description.

This virtual reality project is a 360 degree virtual reality tour system made using the A-Frame framework. This required the use of several several programming languages, specifically: HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL. At the time this system was hosted using an Amazon AWS Lightsail LAMP stack, allowing for the system to be easily accessed online and for the website data to be stored on a MySQL database. The system allows end users to view two different versions of a tour using a virtual reality headset or mouse and keyboard controls. Administrators have the ability to configure both versions of the tour online, allowing for the system to create a virtual tour of essentially any location. The videos in the tour were captured using a 360-degree camera and the headset used in the demonstration is the Oculus Quest 2. This project was created as part of my dissertation in MSc Software Development.
